Friday Flickr Feature - Jonathan Edwards

Jonathan Edwards from Windsor, Ontario creates haunting, elaborate images using only a Polaroid Spectra camera. I had the good fortune to ask him a couple of questions about his work.
WordPress iPhone App Overview

The WordPress for iPhone/iPod Touch app officially made it’s way into the iTunes App Store tonight so instead of sleeping I grabbed a bottle of Boylan’s Natural Cane Cola, downloaded the app to my iPod Touch and shot this quick overview of the application. If you want to try it yourself you can download it here.
What do you think of the WordPress App? Are there features you were hoping for or would like to see in future versions? Do you think you would ever even blog from a mobile device?
Friday Flickr Feature - Joseph Zorn

Joseph Zorn - from the suburbs of Chicago - takes gorgeous Polaroids of the places he sees every day. I was able to ask him a couple of questions about his quiet photographs.

Muxtape + Last.fm

Today Muxtape announced the ability to scrobble songs to your Last.fm account. I have been looking forward to this feature for some time and am happy to announce that it works great! Simply visit your Muxtape user settings, link your two accounts and enjoy.

If you feel like celebrating why not install Paul Hart’s Muxtape Mini userscript and enjoy some Fluid menu extra party jams!
Friday Flickr Feature - Polabears

Fluid Update - Muxtape Coverflow Restored

Fluid users may have noticed that after the last Fluid update (0.9.2.1) browsing Muxtape with the thumbnail plugin was no longer working. Never fear, Fluid’s developer Todd Ditchndorf heard your cries and just released version 0.9.2.2 which includes a fix for Muxtape thumbnail browsing.
Muxtape thumbnails are correctly generated. Problem here was that Muxtape generates its pages with JavaScript, and in the last release I turned off JavaScript for the WebViews that render the thumbnail web images. Now there is a configurable .plist file in the Thumbnail plugin that contains URL Patterns for URLs that should have their thumbnails generated with JS on.

Thanks to everyone who contacted me about the issue. I encourage all Fluid users to subscribe to the Fluid blog for constant updates and to file any Fluid related issues and ideas on Get Satisfaction (check the in progress page first).
Also if you’ve got a Muxtape to share, post it in the comments! Mine is internetjogging.muxtape.com.
Friday Flickr Feature - Sharon Tingley

Sharon Tingley’s Flickr profile says that these photographs are over 25 years old. They’re so beautiful that I thought they should be the next Friday Flickr Feature.

Jim Prentice Has Disconnected

As Many Canadians (should) know Jim Prentice has been steadily pushing forward Bill C-61, also know as the Canadian DMCA. The bill is obviously not being received positively and a lot of people have questions. Jesse Brown from CBC radio managed to get 10 minutes to asked a few of these questions, and what follows is a bumbling, muttering Jim Prentice who lies, dodges and eventually hangs up. Please listen for yourself:
For more information check out Michael Geist’s “A Week in the Life of the Canadian DMCA” Series for a look into how Bill C-61 will impact our everyday activites.
The Fair Copyright for Canada Facebook group is another great place to connect with other Canadians. At the time of writing this the group is 71,905 members strong.
